Not what you expect.

• 73% of all NU students have 0 -4 drinks when they party.
• 64% of NU men have 4 or fewer drinks per occasion -- if they drink at all.
• 79% of NU women have 4 or fewer drinks per occasion -- if they drink at all.
• 8 out of 10 NU students don't miss class because of drinking.
• 9 out of 10 NU students don't get behind on school work because of drinking.
• 8 out of 10 NU students don't do something they later regret because of drinking.
• 9 out of 10 NU students don't make poor sexual decisions (unwanted sex, unprotected sex) because of drinking.

Based on data taken from the Omnibus Survey collected in the spring of 2001 from a random sample of NU undergraduates (N=482) conducted by the Bureau of Sociological Research.  Sample consisted of 53% males and 47% females, 22% Freshmen, 20% Sophomores, 23% Juniors, and 35% Seniors.
