Support Your Server Campaign

The "Support Your Server" Campaign was created by NU Directions to assist hospitality establishments in their efforts to reduce service to intoxicated patrons.  Based on a successful campaign used in New Zealand, "Support Your Server" educates local patrons about the risks to an establishment for over-serving alcohol.  The campaign, which runs from the fall of 2002 through May of 2003, includes server buttons, billboard ads, bar ads, supportive materials for serving staff, and public service announcements produced by Snitily Carr Production Group. The goal of the campaign is to build public awareness of the risks and penalties for liquor license holders in Nebraska who serve intoxicated patrons in order to seek cooperation from those patrons should a server need to refuse a sale.
